Welcome to Talkin' Tenpoint! Please Read.

I want to welcome everyone to the new Tenpoint website and the new TenPoint Forum. Feel free to ask questions, answer threads and have fun. Please make sure that you keep it clean so anyone visiting is not offended.
This forum will not be a place for crossbow bashing and heated debates about the crossbows merits.

For those that have haunted the other forums, welcome aboard. I look forward to chatting with you all. For those that are new, don't be hesitant. There will be people here that have years of crossbow experrience and people who are just getting into the sport. Ask questions and interact! It is the best way to find the answers to your questions and even the old timers pick up new tips as they interact.

We have arranged for several moderators and several of the TenPoint Staff will be on here as well. Barb Terry is the Warranty and Customer Service Manager here at TenPoint and I am the Sales Manager. We are the two you will see the most from here, but others will hop on now and again.

Once again, welcome, ask questions and have fun!

    Thanks,
    Randy Wood

As Randy did, I would also like to welcome everyone to the Talkin' TenPoint forum. Rest assured, I am quite the avid hunter and I can talk "crossbow" or just plain "hunting" with the best of them! Don't be afraid to seek out this woman's advice-you just might be surprised what you may learn!

If you have any questions about the operation of your crossbow, or even about the equipment best suited for you, feel free to contact me and we'll work through it together. I can shoot-em and I can fix-em!

    Thanks for visiting our forum.

    Nice site Randy.
Looks nice that I can order online.
Any benefits to ordering online vs. going to my distributor?
I noticed that you may want hard copy proof of purchase for warranty work vs. registration certificate.
    Does that go away?
    Anything else?

    Thanks!!
    Regards,

    Pete

    Hey Barb,

Typical cost of shipping and insurance to maryland?
Which carrier(s) do you like to use?

How much warranty work can be done by your dealer/distributors, or
    is most everything sent back?

    Typical turnaround time?
    Do you have expedite costs
    Extended warranties?

Current cost of replacement cables and strings and labor?

    Thanks!!

    Regards,

    Pete

    OldBow,
We prefer that you go through the dealer, but certain areas do not have one. It will run about the same either direct from me or from the dealer. The dealer will be the one to help yoou with things later and carry the accessories you need during the season.

We do not need hard copy proof for Warranty work. It is really 2 seperate things. We allow you to fill out your warranty card on line vs sending it by snail mail.

Warrnty work you just fill out the return authorization form and email it to us. We will work with you through email, mail you parts or give you a return auth number to send the bow in to us.

Let me know if you have more questions about it.

    Hey Barb,

I'll answer for Barb because she is out of town this weekend.

Typical cost of shipping and insurance to maryland? $8-12
Which carrier(s) do you like to use? UPS

How much warranty work can be done by your dealer/distributors, or
    is most everything sent back?
In your case Len at Macrotech can handle almost anything. Other areas of the country just depend on the dealer. Len has been with us for ever and really knows his stuff

    Typical turnaround time?
2 days to us, 1-2 days in house, 2 days back

    Do you have expedite costs
We can overnite at whatever cost that is, but 2 days is standard to MD

    Extended warranties? No

Current cost of replacement cables and strings and labor?
We are and have run an "Early Bird Special" it runs until the end of June. String, cables and labor is $60 for the upper end bows. That is a savings of about $12.

    Thanks!!

Hi Randy, great looking site. I've been looking forward to it's arrival. I have yet to "surf" through it's entirety yet.
